Zia Marching Band Fiesta Itinerary

University Stadium – (UNM Football Stadium)

*Have breakfast before you arrive to school!

6:45am Pit reports to marching field, unloads equipment, warm up

7:00am Report time at field for woodwinds, brass, and battery (BE IN SHOW SHIRT, UNIFORM PANTS, MARCHING SHOES, LONG BLACK DRESS SOCKS) Warm up and run through show

7:30am Load Equipment

8:20am Load buses

8:30am Depart for University Stadium

8:50am Arrive at University Stadium (unload large instruments/guard equipment)

9:30am Physical warm up

10:00am Music warm up

10:30am Report to tunnel of the stadium

10:45am Perform

11:00am Watch La Cueva (from side of stadium)

11:15am Head to buses for lunch (provided by boosters). Take uniform shirts off.

Students must be in their gray show shirt or they will be in their uniform shirt all day.

12:45pm Head back to the stadium (watch bands)

We will be watching MANY bands. Students may want to bring a jacket with them if they like (if it is needed). In addition, there will be a couple of breaks throughout the day where students may bring money for patches, shirts, or snack bar items. STUDENTS ARE TO BE WITH THE BAND THE ENTIRE AFTERNOON AND MAY NOT EXIT THE STADIUM FOR ANY REASON.

4:45pm Announcement of finalists

5:15pm Dinner at buses (provided by boosters). Prepare for finals performance.

7:00pm Finals begin

9:30pm Final awards announced

10:00pm Load instruments/ buses

10:45pm Approximate return time to EHS

*All students are required to be with the band the entire day. Students will travel to and from University Stadium with the band.

*Any disruptive behavior or insubordination toward directors, staff, or chaperones will result in the parent of the student being contacted and the student possibly being picked up.

*Inappropriate or negative comments about other groups will not be tolerated. We are representing our school, our program, and our community. We will present ourselves with class at all times.
