Edited 9/14/2025 3:15 PM - added Uniform help signup.
Thanks to the parents that came to our parent meeting this past week. It was a great time to hear about what the band program is doing, and you all brought some great questions.
Another busy week ahead - after-school classes, football game, and Saturday full-day rehearsal - Mr. Sayre has all the details below in his section. I also have a few things to cover, so let's dig in.
Here's what I have for you all this week:
Student Accounts - Most of the student charges are in place and are visible in Cut Time
Saturday Rehearsal - Our annual full-day Saturday rehearsal is this week. Important details are listed below...
Volunteer Opportunities - all our current volunteer opportunities will be listed here throughout the season - take a look and see where you might be able to help out. New signup for uniform helper - we need help at games and performances to distribute and gather plumes and other uniform assistance.
And a word from Mr. Sayre - always make time to read through this section

Tuesday 9/16

Saturday 9/20
9:00 AM - 4:00 PM - Saturday Full-Day Rehearsal - 9 AM means ready to go at 9. Percussion and loading crew report time is 8:30 AM. See all the details below.
All student accounts have been updated with charges for this year - although there are still a few that are being finalized. You can always see the balance in Cut Time.
A few things:
The Financials page of the band handbook has all the details regarding student accounts. If you choose to pay by check or money order, the instructions on how to do so are also on that page - remember it may take a few weeks for non-electronic payments to be credited to your student accounts as those have to be fully processed manually.
Double-check that the direct charges are correct - if you are charged for shoes, gloves, jazz uniform, etc. that you believe was charged in error, please shoot us an email at financials@eldorado.band so we can check into it.
Cut Time provides a way for you to ask family or friends for help with your charges. There is a "Share costs" button where you can provide a name and cell phone number to invite others to help pay any balance on the account. They will receive a link where they can make payments against your balance.
Each year, the band has one full-day Saturday rehearsal that is used to refine the show. A ton of the work needed to improve the show is accomplished during this rehearsal, so it is very important to not miss this day.
A few important things about this rehearsal:
This rehearsal is OUTSIDE for the entirety of the day. That means you need to make sure students are prepared for everything that comes with that - plenty of sunscreen, as much water as they can carry, hats and light-colored clothing - basically band camp prep is in order here.
Lunch is on your own. That means bring a lunch for that time, or money to purchase lunch at nearby restaurants
Extra water and popsicles are provided throughout the day. NOTE: Do NOT rely on the water being provided as the only source of water - ensure you are bringing plenty of your own
Here is a list of all our current volunteer opportunities. You can also see these anytime on the Volunteering page of the website. Remember, you need to have your unsupervised clearance to volunteer.

Hello Eagles!
I hope everyone was able to get some well-deserved rest this weekend. It was awesome hearing all the questions at the parent meeting on Wednesday night. Thanks for coming and engaging with us! We’ve been working hard, and this upcoming week will be another important one as we continue to push forward in our season. We only have a few sets left in the show to learn and then get to put it all together.
This Week’s Normal Rehearsal Schedule
Monday, September 15 – Sectionals (Woodwinds & Brass), 4:00–5:00 PM
Tuesday, September 16 – Full Band Rehearsal, 4:00–6:00 PM, marching field
Wednesday, September 17 – Color Guard Class, 4:00–6:00 PM, M4
Thursday, September 18 – Percussion Class, 4:00–6:00 PM
Friday, September 19 – Football Game vs. Volcano Vista
Location: Community Stadium
Call Time: 4:45 PM in the band room (plan to be ready a little earlier since this is a full uniform performance).
We will perform in full marching uniforms for this game. Please be prepared and double-check that all parts of your uniform are in order. Wear BLACK SOCKS and your marching shoes. We will start wearing our bibs (pants) with the band shirt under.
Saturday, September 20 – Full Day Marching Rehearsal
Start Time: 9:00 AM sharp. Lunch is NOT provided - treat this like a band camp day where we will break and eat lunch for an hour.
Percussion and students with equipment on the truck: please arrive by 8:30 AM to unload at the field.
Plan to be outside all day—wear/bring sun protection, comfortable clothing, and athletic shoes.
Bring a large water jug to stay hydrated throughout the day.
Other Upcoming Items
Families, please complete the Student Transportation Form. This is a precaution in case we face the possibility of not having enough buses for a performance (as happened last year).
Here is a link to the transportation forms. I will also print and hand these out if student's need them. Once collected we will give it to the admin to sign.
Thank you for your continued hard work and support. With this week’s game and rehearsal, we’ll take a big step toward getting our full show on the field!
Go Eagles!
Mr. Sayre
