Huge thanks to every single parent that helped out this weekend - chaperones, food, uniforms, hydration, pit crew, and of course, all of our transportation volunteers. Everything came together so well, and it's all due to this amazing community. Thanks so much for all you do!

Hello Eagle Band Community!
What an action-packed weekend! We had our 8th Grade Game on Friday, welcoming over 135 middle school students—and then followed it up with a fantastic showing at the Los Lunas Invitational! The band earned Superior Ratings and took top honors for Brass and Color Guard. Mr. Snowden and I have received countless compliments on your performance and musicianship. Thank you for your effort and endurance through the exhausting month of September—your hard work is truly paying off. You make Eldorado proud!
A huge thank you to our student leaders and officers for being so kind and welcoming to our future Eagles, and to the parent volunteers who prepared goodie bags, candy, and refreshments for our guests at the 8th grade game on Friday. You made it easy for those middle schoolers to see how special our program is. Shoutout to Mr. Sorenson (Eisenhower MS), Mr. Hernandez (Hoover MS), and Mr. Snowden (Jackson MS) for bringing your students and future Eagles to join us!
Thank You to Our Community Helpers
Transportation Organizational Heroes: Enormous thanks to Shelby Cruver, Anne Claspell, and Addison Cruver for helping organize the transportation logistics. With limited buses and Balloon Fiesta chaos, we relied on carpools, buses, and parent drivers to make sure every student could perform. Our community truly stepped up—thank you! Our students and community are stronger because of you.
Pit Crew: Massive appreciation to Clint Hobart for leading the prop design and logistics, and to Robby Claspell, Jeremy Dencklau and Frank Whiston for their hands-on work.
Equipment Transport: Thanks to Jeremy Dencklau, Juan Guzman, Josue Hernandez (Hoover MS), and again Clint Hobart for hauling the trailers this weekend!
Hydration, Uniforms, and Food Teams: Thank you Anayeli Olivas, Lori Black, Kelli Isakson, Heather Fitzgerald (Hydration Team), and Lori & Zac Van Note for keeping our students fed, hydrated, and looking sharp. We couldn’t do it without you!

Let’s get the Golden Eagle Marching Band over the finish line strong!
September was all about putting in the work—efficient rehearsals, challenging additions, and full weekends of practice. You’ve shown what focus and dedication can do, and now we get to show it off. As we head into October, let’s stay sharp, disciplined, and supportive of one another. The finish line is in sight, and every rehearsal between now and Zia will define how great this season becomes.
Keep pushing, Eagles—you’ve built something truly special.
Go Eagles!
Mr. Sayre
