April is here. I know I say this every year, but wow, that happened fast!
For those going on Spring Trip, we have a very important meeting this Wednesday to ensure we are all on the same page before our adventure.
And, seniors, we are now taking applications for the Eldorado Band Booster annual scholarship.

Spring Trip - It's April, so that means Spring Trip is near. Important meeting this Wed, 4/8 in the Eldorado PAC.
Yearbooks - The last day to get your yearbook order in so it will be here for the band banquet is next Sunday, 4/12.

Spring Trip is just around the corner. And in order to make sure that parents, students, and chaperones are all on the same page, we are holding a very important meeting this Wednesday, 4/8 at 6:30 PM in the Eldorado PAC. All students, and at least one parent/guardian, should plan on attending.
We will be going over everything - itinerary, expectations, rules/regulations, processes, chaperone assignments - all of it. And if that doesn't answer your questions, we'll be there to answer those as well.

Also, if you have not yet ordered, you can still get your 2025-2026 Band Yearbook! Yearbooks are $24.54 with 90 full color pages. In order to receive your yearbook at the May 9th band banquet, please order NO LATER than April 12th.

Hello Eagle Band Community!
Welcome back! I hope Spring Break provided some time to rest and recharge. I also want to wish everyone a Happy Easter. I hope you were able to spend meaningful time with family and friends.
The next few weeks are going to be very busy for the band program. We have several major events coming up including the Winrock Jazz Showcase, our spring trip to Colorado, the Band Awards Banquet, leadership applications, and jazz band placements—just to name a few. It’s going to be a full stretch to the end of the year, but also a fun one.
This Week at a Glance:
Monday: Sectional time available
Tuesday: Chamber Club after school, sectional time available
Wednesday: Color Guard Class after school
Thursday: Percussion Class after school
Friday: Sectional time available
Mandatory Spring Trip Meeting
Wednesday, April 8 at 6:30 PM
Rooming assignments will be posted Wednesday morning. Please make sure you have a conversation with your family about your rooming arrangements before the meeting. Students will need to come prepared to sign off and agree to the travel code of conduct. Please refer to Mr. Dencklau’s information for additional details.
Winrock Park Jazz Showcase
Saturday, April 11
This event will feature middle school and high school jazz bands from across the area. We have been given the opportunity to have all three of our jazz bands perform. Our performance block runs from 3:00–4:30 PM.
Swing Wings – 3:00 PM
Screamin’ Eagles – following Swing Wings
Golden Image – final performance of our set
In-Class Recital Days
April 16 and 17 during Zero Hour and 1st Period
We will divide the ensembles into smaller groups and perform for one another as part of our in-class recital experience.
Solo & Ensemble Festival
Saturday, April 18 at Jackson Middle School
The performance schedule will be posted in the band hallway Monday morning.
Spring Trip
April 22–25
Please be sure to check your grades as we get closer to the trip. Also, if you are planning to perform with the jazz bands at Winrock and have not picked up your music yet, please do so as soon as possible.
Information about lettering, leadership applications, and jazz auditions will be posted in Google Classroom soon, so please keep an eye out for those announcements.
