We made it back! We had a great time in Denver, and our Jazz Bands sounded great in their performances on Friday. Hopefully, everyone can recover quickly 🙂 A big thanks to our chaperones that took the time to make sure the kids were safe and had what they needed, and HUGE thanks to JP, our trip coordinator, for putting this thing together and ensuring the kids had a fun and memorable experience.

It's almost the end of the year, which means it's time for our annual band banquet hosted by the band boosters!
This banquet is an opportunity to celebrate all the hard work our students put in this year. It is a such a great community event, where we get to dress up a little, enjoy a delicious catered meal together with family and friends, reminisce about the year, and hand out a ton of awards.
This year it is happening on Saturday, May 9th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM (Doors open at 4:30 PM) at the Berna Facio building located at 3315 Louisiana Blvd NE. Ticket price is $25 per person and can be purchased at the link below. Children aged 0-3 are free, as are graduating seniors. Everyone needs to have a ticket (even graduating seniors and children aged 0-3, at no charge, so we can have accurate numbers).
Purchase Tickets here: https://2026-eldorado-band-banquet.cheddarup.com
When purchasing your tickets, please make sure you give us any dietary restrictions you may have so we can adequately accommodate everyone. I truly hope you are all able to make this - these students put in so much work this year, and this is a great time to celebrate that with family and friends.
I apologize for the quick turnaround, we had some trouble getting everything lined up this year. The deadline to order tickets will be midnight, Tuesday, April 28th.
Our band booster scholarship(s) are awarded to help graduating seniors continue their music performance education in college. For all the details, see the Scholarships page from the band handbook.
Send your submissions to president@eldorado.band by 5/2.

Hello Eagle Band Community!
WOW! What a truly memorable Spring Trip. This was a life-changing experience for so many of our students, and I am incredibly grateful to everyone who made it possible.
A huge thank you to our volunteer trip coordinator, JP Bowdoin, for creating an experience our students will never forget. The level of detail and care that went into this trip was exceptional.
Our Jazz Bands performed at an incredibly high level throughout the trip. Having the opportunity to hear artists like Victor Wooten and Wayne Bergeron live is something I hope stays with our students for a lifetime. The performance by the Colorado Symphony was one of the most compelling concerts I have ever experienced, and pianist Michelle Cann was truly outstanding. I am so proud of the musical growth and lasting memories that came from this trip.
A very special thank you to our outstanding chaperones: Anne Claspell, Jeremy Dencklau, Robby Claspell, Sally Vender, Shelby Cruver, Crystal Miranda, and Cammy Cook. Moving a group of this size through five full days of activities is no small task, and you made it look seamless.
JP Bowdoin - your continued dedication to this program, even years after your own students have graduated, speaks volumes. If you have a moment, I encourage you to send him a note of appreciation for everything he has done for our students.
Now, we turn our focus to finishing the school year strong, celebrating our seniors, and preparing for the next chapter of the Eldorado Band program.
