What a week! We had 2 great concerts and a great band banquet.
Huge thanks to Anayeli Olivas and Addison Cruver and teams for coordinating another great banquet night. It's always so fun to reminisce about the past year and hand out so many well-deserved recognitions.
Mr. Sayre has a bunch of things going on this week, so make sure to read his section (as always!)

Hello Eagle Band Community!
Thank you for a great banquet yesterday. The opportunity to reflect on the amazing accomplishments of our students is one we do not take lightly. A big shout out to the parents and student volunteers that made the event such a success. We now move forward into celebrating our seniors while also preparing for another exciting year ahead.
This week at a glance:
Monday: Drum Major auditions during zero hour, leadership interviews, Incoming Student Night at 5:30 PM in the band room
Tuesday: Leadership interviews, graduation preparation
Wednesday: Leadership interviews, Color Guard class after school, Eisenhower Middle School Concert
Thursday: Percussion class after school, Jackson Middle School Concert, Hoover Middle School Concert
Incoming Student Night will take place on Monday, May 11th at 5:30 PM in the band room. All prospective student leaders should plan on attending. If you know students who would be great additions to Color Guard, please encourage them to come check out the program as well.
Graduation is on May 18th. All woodwind, brass, and percussion students will participate. Call time is 10:30 AM in the band room to warm up and prepare. Since this is an asynchronous day for EHS, students will need to arrange transportation to school. Mr. Sayre will be on campus all morning for any students needing to be dropped off at their normal time.
Marching Percussion and Color Guard introductory sessions will take place after school on May 19th and May 21st in the EHS band room. Please continue encouraging friends and classmates to join Color Guard as we continue to grow the program.
Preparation for next year is already underway. We still have a great deal to organize, clean, and prepare while also wrapping up this school year. As marching show music becomes available, it will be distributed. We will also begin printing and assembling next year’s flip books. As the band continues to grow, more preparation work needs to happen ahead of time. Students will keep the flip books used this year and simply add the new pep tunes to their folders. Part placements may also be adjusted to help support the evolving balance needs of the ensemble.
Instrument return and checkout will take place throughout the next few weeks. Any students using a school instrument will need to complete the re-checkout process for next year. Instruments needing repair should be turned in as soon as possible so they can be serviced promptly.
Have a great rest of the week, Eagles! We are proud of all you have accomplished.
Go Eagles!
Mr. Sayre
