As we near the end of the year, I want to first congratulate all our seniors on this achievement. Second, I want to thank once again all the parents and volunteers that went into making this another great year. We could not have done it without you.
Soon we will be bringing in a whole new crew of students and parents, and we'll be starting it all over again! Stay tuned on what's in store for next year as we plan next year.
Graduation performance is tomorrow. We are still short on chaperones - if you are able to spend the afternoon with us, we could definitely use your help. Link to volunteer is below.

Hello Eagle Band Community!
This is graduation week! As we say goodbye to our seniors and close the chapter on this school year, we also usher in a new group of seniors ready to begin the next chapter of the Eagle Band story. It’s an exciting and meaningful time for our program.
Here is this week’s schedule at a glance:
Monday: Graduation - Call time is 10:30 AM in the band room
Tuesday: Normal zero hour, Percussion and Color Guard Introduction Sessions after school
Wednesday: Color Guard Class after school
Thursday: Percussion and Color Guard Introduction Session 2 after school
I also want to take some time to thank the students who applied for leadership positions for the upcoming school year. The decisions were not taken lightly, nor were they easy this year. It takes courage to put yourself out there for leadership, and even if you were not selected for a position, please know the band still needs your contribution, leadership, and example.
To those selected for leadership positions - your work is just beginning. We will soon begin preparing for the upcoming year by creating flip books, communicating with incoming students, organizing materials, and much more. Thank you in advance for your commitment to the success of the program.
Jazz audition results are now posted in Google Classroom. Congratulations on a very strong set of auditions this year, and thank you for your hard work and preparation. It’s going to be a great year next year!
Marching Percussion Introduction Sessions: All percussionists participating next year are required to attend. Sessions will run after school until 6:00 PM on Tuesday and Thursday.
Color Guard Introduction Sessions: All members participating next year are required to attend. Sessions will run after school until 6:00 PM on Tuesday and Thursday.
Finals for Zero Hour Concert Band will be based on the All-State Etudes for winds and percussion. Color Guard will create a video. Please check Google Classroom for more information and preparation materials.
Prep for Next Year: We still have flip books to make and show music to begin preparing! It’s going to be a fantastic season ahead as we begin our journey to Joy together.
We are only two weeks away from summer break! I hope you all have exciting plans for June and time to recharge after a very successful year. Summer activities begin in July, starting with Percussion Camp on July 7th.
Thank you all for your hard work, dedication, and commitment throughout this school year. It has been a privilege to make music with all of you.
Go Eagles!
Mr. Sayre
