What a season. As we wrap things up this week, one more huge thanks to the students for all their hard work and the parents and volunteers that made things happen behind the scenes. This is such an amazing community, and I'm thankful to be a part of it.
This is a bit of a slow week, culminating in our marching awards ceremony on Saturday. All the really important stuff to know for this week is below in Mr. Sayre's section.
Let's dive in...
Here's what I have for you all this week:
Booster Chair Positions - It's never too late to start planning for next year, and we have some important positions opening up soon that will need some dedicated parents to fill and begin training on those roles
Volunteer Opportunities - No signups currently active.
And a word from Mr. Sayre - always make time to read through this section

3:30 PM - Marching Awards Ceremony - Eldorado Gym
We are always looking ahead, even in October. And I wanted to let you know we have some important positions that are going to need some dedicated parents to start training to take over in the future.
Food/Fun Chair - This position involves coordinating the food/fun team, ordering/serving meals for the band when we feed them at competitions and other events, and ensuring those with special dietary needs are taken care of. Our current food/fun chair, Anayeli has done an amazing job, but wants to find someone hard-working and passionate for this important role to begin learning and training as early as possible.
Pit Crew Chief - Clint has been running our pit crew for a number of years, and has also done an amazing job. This position involves coordinating the pit crew team and heading up the building of props and equipment. If you love building things, or love logistics, or both, this might be a great position for you.
If you have any interest in these positions, or would like more information, reach out to me at president@eldorado.band, and I can put you in contact with our current chairs to learn more.
Currently available signups:
None
Remember, if you want to volunteer at any time this year, please get your background clearance started now so you are ready to go. It's easy - all the details are on the How To Volunteer page.

Hello Eagles!
Congratulations on a great performance of the marching show on Friday! A big thank you to Clint and Tracy Hobart, along with the entire hee-haw... I mean... pit crew, for putting together a great surprise for the show and making sure all of the equipment was transported and set up.
A big thank you to Anayeli Olivas and the Food and Fun Crew for providing food and snacks, the Hydration Team for keeping our students hydrated, and Shelby Cruver and the chaperone crew for helping manage the students throughout the evening. Also I’d like to thank our fearless Principal, Juan Torres, and Activity Director, Cris Mancuso, for all the work they do (often behind the scenes) to make sure the band is covered and has everything they need.
It's no small task getting a band as large as ours to a game or performance. We truly appreciate the time, energy, and commitment our volunteers give to helping our students succeed. THANK YOU!
Playoff Game This Saturday!
It looks like we have a playoff game this Saturday against Albuquerque High School! If you remember back to the beginning of the season, this is the team we tied with after the lightning delays and the game where we had a difficult time getting to perform.
The game starts at 11:00 AM. Students will need to provide their own transportation and arrive at Wilson Stadium by 10:15 AM, ready to go. We will NOT have bus transportation.
Afterwards, we will still hold our Marching Band Awards Ceremony in the afternoon at 3:30 PM.
Student Leaders: We will need to clean up the field and put away all of our equipment AFTER the awards ceremony. Our original plan was to take care of this before the ceremony, but it looks like we'll be at the game instead.
