Congratulations! You all have survived another Band-tober. This has been such a memorable marching season - one of my favorites that I've been a part of over the years. We will be celebrating it this coming Saturday at our marching awards ceremony. More on that below...
Once more, I want to extend a huge thank you to every parent that gave of their time this year. This is such an amazing community, and your generosity of time and spirit make this program what it is. That being said, it is only November - there are plenty of opportunities to volunteer during the rest of the school year, so if you have not yet had the opportunity, I encourage you to do so.
Quick note - on the permission slip form there was a tour listed as one of the events covered by the form. It was originally on the form as we were still working out the details of that event. However, it did not happen the way we had hoped, so we are not doing that event. It was put on the permission form as a fail-safe in case our plans worked out. As with all things - it is not on the calendar, so it isn't happening.
Let's look at what I have this week. Good luck to all the students auditioning for All-State this week!
Here's what I have for you all this week:

Time to begin thinking about ordering a 2024-2025 Band Yearbook!
Yearbooks are 90 pages of full color photos from the entire band year. Books can be ordered online for $24.54 plus tax & free shipping. Deadline to order a yearbook is April 14th. Books will be handed out at the May 10th Band Banquet.
To order a yearbook visit: https://www.treering.com AND enter passcode: 1016667234694117
Email yearbooks@eldorado.band with any questions. That is also the address you can send your band photos.
Every year we cap the marching season with a celebration of all the hard work the students put into the season. We gather in the gym where we recognize all the effort put into the season, give away some awards, and have the students play the show music one last time. It's a great time, so we hope all the parents and guardians (and other family) can come out and enjoy. Students need to report at 10 AM, we'll start the ceremony at 11 AM.
Immediately, afterward, we will be doing a turn-in of the marching bibs, so students should wear something comfortable under their bibs for easy removal and return. The uniform return will happen in the band room, and the students should be prepared to return their marching bibs along with the garment bag issued with them at the beginning of the year.
We do need some parent volunteers to assist with the uniform return effort, so if you are able to help us out with that, signup here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20F0D48ADAA2DA1FB6-45898904-marching#/
Here are the current active signups available. You can also always see any open volunteering opportunities on the Volunteering page.

Have a great week!

Happy Daylight Savings Time, Eagle Band!
We thoroughly enjoyed seeing all the creativity on display at our final show performance on Saturday. We hope you have a ton of great pictures and if you would like to share those be sure to send them to yearbooks@eldorado.band so they might be included in the band yearbook. We have a few things to wrap up this week with Allstate Auditions, Marching Awards, and Zero Hour placements.
Zero Hour Monday - we will go over concert band expectations, going over supplies, and passing out some warm-up materials. If we play we will divide by class to either the band room or M4.
Allstate Auditions must be completed this week! If you signed up for an audition it needs to be completed THIS week. If you have not signed up yet and audition time slots are full you will have to reach out to Mr. Sayre or Mr. Snowden to set up a time with them. We do not have school Tuesday and I will be speaking to those that signed up for Allstate Auditions on that day to see about adjusting the day or time we are going to record you.
Marching Band End of Season Celebration is this Saturday - All equipment used for the show needs to be set up in the Gym by 10:00 AM. Call time for the students to be in the gym and ready to play is 10:00 AM.
BIG thanks to our great community supporters. Thank you for doing everything you did this marching band season to help the students go above and beyond. It takes a lot to feed, move, transport, and communicate with the students so big thanks for all you do.
4 day school week ahead! Enjoy and we’ll see you in the morning!
Go Eagles!
Mr. Sayre
