It's official. Marching season for the 24-25 school year is done. Well done! It was great to see everyone on Saturday, gathered to celebrate all the hard work our students have put into this year so far.
And I once again want to thank all the parents for all their hard work this year as well. I'm so thankful to be a part of such a great community.
But just as marching season ends, we start the other part of our band year - concert season. We now get to look forward to some great music from the concert and jazz bands throughout the rest of the school year. It's going to be great.
We now get to enjoy a short break in the busy-ness of the year. I don't have much for you this week.
Here's what I have for you all this week:
Yearbooks - Order your yearbook today!
Il Vicino Restaurant Night - Getting this in your heads a little early - next Monday, 11/18 is our Il Vicino restaurant night
Volunteer Opportunities - Nothing active right now. Enjoy!
And a word from Mr. Sayre - As always, make sure to read through his section

Next monday, 11/18 is our Il Vicino restaurant night. It is all day - lunch and dinner - at the Montgomery location. See the Restaurant Nights page for the details and the flyer. Bring the flyer in to get 20% to our band program. This is usually one of our more successful local business partnerships, so plan on supporting Il Vicino AND our band program next week!
There are no current active signups available. Enjoy the break - thanks for all you do!
Have a great week!

Greetings Eagle Band!
Congrats on a nice end to the marching band portion of the school year. Congrats also to the football team on a hard fought game in the first round of the playoffs. They were very grateful that we were there for their game and gave the band a snack at halftime. Speaking of the group of students and chaperones that made it out to the game on Friday - you were awesome! You represented great dedication and the ideals that we strive for in the band here at Eldorado. Also big thanks go out to the parents that came and helped us out at the game as well. Huge shout out also goes to percussionists- Brennan Holley, Alex Conrad, Peter Bonnaccoursi, Joshua Bryant, Gabriel Trujillo, Steven Witt, and Juno McCuistion - for holding it down in the drumline and playing cadences and grooves all evening in the 34 degree weather. Thank you again for an awesome Marching Band Recognition and wrap up on Saturday. Every time we play this show it’s even better than the time before and your performance on Saturday was no exception. We hope you start next year’s marching band the way you sounded at the end of this year’s season.

Congrats! We know you will represent our school well! See Mr. Sayre for sheet music and a permission form.
Allstate Auditions should be pretty much completed. Each student that is auditioning is required to record multiple elements. Because of the snow delay last week NMMEA extended the deadline a bit to get the final audition requirements turned in. I do not set this deadline and any student that has not submitted every portion of the audition, including the commitment form that needs to be signed by a parent, will not have their audition considered for placement in Allstate. I still need a few commitment forms turned in. If you are unsure that you have turned it in you can sign it and email a photo of the form to Mr Sayre. Almost everybody has turned in all portions but we still have a few loose ends to tie up. Mr. Sayre has spoken to many of these students personally.
Coming up, other than auditions being completed soon, we have our concerts for Jazz and Concert Bands in about a month from now. These concerts will come at us pretty fast especially with the week of Thanksgiving being short. Additionally, our Wind Ensemble at Eldorado was asked to be part of a Clinic at the NMMEA Allstate Conference in January with the UNM Director of Bands Dr. Emily Moss. Stay posted for more details on that performance.
Stay safe and be sure to take some time this long weekend to thank our Veterans for all they have done for this country.
Go Eagles!
Mr. Sayre
