Here we are at the end of March. This year is moving so quickly...
Thanks to all those that helped out with the Winter Guard Invitational this weekend. Our guard put in a great performance - congratulations!
It's a relatively slow week, but there is a fair amount of preparation for end-of-year activities, so please make sure to read through everything.
Let's dig into what I have for this week.
Here's what I have for you all this week:

Yearbook Reminder - Still time to get your yearbook, but the deadline is approaching to order to have it by the band banquet.
Band Booster Scholarship - Seniors - we are now taking applications for the band booster scholarship - details below
A word from Mr. Sayre - As always, make sure to read through his section

Hello Eagle Band Community!
Congratulations to the Winter Guard on an outstanding performance at our annual Eldorado Winter Guard Invitational! With seven Winter Guard teams in attendance, our team earned a 2nd place trophy! A huge thank you to May Souriyanyong for organizing such a fantastic event and to all the parent and student volunteers who helped everything run smoothly.
Planning for Next Year:
If you haven’t filled out the information form for next year, please do so ASAP! This is crucial in finalizing plans and moving forward with the design of our fall marching show. All incoming freshmen, sophomores, and juniors must complete the form, which is available in Google Classroom. Be sure to turn in the assignment once completed. Extra credit for those that find additional Color Guard members for next year! Our goal is to continue to grow and have the biggest band we have ever had here at Eldorado.
Upcoming Events:
April 7th & 8th – U.S. Marine Corps Musicians Visit
We are excited to host a group of United States Marine Corps musicians for a recital on April 7th in the afternoon. On April 8th, they will help facilitate our annual recital day, providing feedback to students performing solos and in small ensembles. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn from professional musicians!
April 12th – Solo & Ensemble Festival at Jackson Middle School
This event is only for students who signed up for the event. It is hosted by the New Mexico Music Educators Association. The schedule is posted in the band hallway—be sure to check your performance time!
This Week’s Schedule:
No School on Wednesday (except for students taking the SAT test)
Wednesday: Color Guard Class (4:00–6:00 PM)
Thursday: Percussion Class (4:00–6:00 PM)
Thank you for your hard work and dedication. Let’s keep pushing forward as we finish the year strong!
Go Eagles!
