Happy Mother's Day!
Thanks everyone for another great end-of-year band banquet. What a great afternoon of celebrating the hard work our students have put in this year. If you were unable to make it, we certainly missed you and hope you will be able to attend next year. Thanks to all the parents that helped setup and tear down, and special thanks to Anayeli Olivas, our food and fun chair, for coordinating that amazing meal for us.
Also, congrats to the students for 2 excellent concerts this past week. It's always enjoyable to see each group improve over the year, and this year did not disappoint.

Hello Eagle Band!
What an amazing Awards Banquet! It was wonderful to celebrate all the students and parent volunteers who have made such a big impact on our program this year. As our seniors pass the torch to the next generation of student leaders, it’s important to remember that our work isn’t quite done—we’ve got a few more events and responsibilities before we wrap up the year.
On Monday, May 12th, we’ll host our Incoming Student Night at 6:00 PM. This should be a short event—about 30 to 45 minutes—and is meant to welcome students who are new to the band program next year. While incoming students will spend time with current EHS band members, their parents and guardians will remain in the band room for a brief info session with the directors and Boosters.
Color Guard and Marching Percussion Nights are scheduled for May 20th and May 22nd. Since EHS Graduation also falls on the evening of the 22nd, we’ll work out a fair plan to make sure percussionists are covered at both the incoming night and the graduation ceremony. More info will be shared with those involved.
For Graduation on Thursday, May 22nd, the band will travel by bus after school. Please plan to dress nicely for this important performance. Percussionists, as mentioned, we’ll coordinate with section leaders to ensure all responsibilities are met in an equitable way.
After graduation, we’ll turn our focus to wrapping up the year. That means cleaning, inventory, organizing, and preparing for next season. We’ll also begin our final assignment, which includes excerpts from the upcoming year’s All-State Etudes. More details will be posted in Google Classroom soon.
Let’s keep up the momentum and finish the year strong.
Go Eagles!
TL;DR:
Mon, May 12 – Incoming Student Night at 6 PM
May 20 & 22 – Color Guard & Percussion Nights
May 22 – Graduation (evening, dress nice, ride bus from school)
Post-graduation – Clean-up, inventory, and start final (All-State Etude excerpts)
