Pageant of bands
The annual Pageant of Bands competition is at Rio Rancho HS on October 22nd, 2022. Below are the itinerary, rules, and information for that day.
*WOODWIND, BRASS, and PERCUSSION STUDENTS MUST WEAR YOUR BAND T-SHIRT, SHORTS YOU WEAR UNDERNEATH YOUR UNIFORM, AND YOUR MARCHING SHOES FOR OUR FINAL REHEARSAL.
09:30 AM - Band room open.
10:45 AM - Pit sets up for rehearsal/Drumline warm-up on grass field.
11:15 AM - Woodwind/Brass in block (final rehearsal….DON’T BE LATE).
12:15 PM - Load equipment truck.
12:45 PM - Lunch in EHS Courtyard (lunch provided by boosters). Please make sure you pick up all trash. Leaders, please help ensure this is done...
01:30 PM - Performance shirt distribution/change into full uniform.
01:50 PM - BAND PICTURE IN COURTYARD.
02:15 PM - Inspection/load buses.
02:30 PM - Depart for Rio Rancho High School.
03:15 PM - Unload instruments, prepare for warm-up.
04:00 PM - Warm-Up.
04:30 PM - Transition to field.
04:45 PM - Perform.
05:00 PM - Drumline prepares for retreat.
05:15 PM - Awards for Class 3A, 4A, and 5A.
06:00 PM - Pack equipment, load buses, return to EHS.
07:00 PM - Approximate return to EHS/Brief meeting for all students in the band room.
Students must follow all rules and directions given by directors, staff members, and chaperones. Failure to do so will result in sitting with chaperones for the day as well as parent contact.
All students are to stay together as a group throughout the day.
Students may bring a jacket to wear if needed while not performing. HOWEVER, students must stay in their marching pants and show shirt throughout the day when we are not performing.
You are representing our school and community! Be on your best behavior.
Be respectful to all other schools and performers.
Cell phones are NOT to be out in the middle of performances!
Students who are coming from cross country and meeting us at RRHS are to communicate with Mr. Dubbs the week of POB confirming arrival time and location at the stadium.
