Weekly Newsletter - OCTOBER 16, 2023
I hope everyone was able to get some rest in this past week, because we've got a busy one ahead of us.
I'm sure everyone got their uniform bibs cleaned this past week, right? And sent a picture of their receipt with the student's first and last name to our uniform chairs at uniforms@eldorado.band, right??
With the focus on our upcoming performances this week, I'm going to let Mr. Sayre's section below be the primary focus of this weeks newsletter. I DO want to put in a plug for the volunteer/chaperone spots for the performances this week, as we still need a few more people for each event, so please consider grabbing a slot if possible.
Make sure you are keeping up with your student account payments. I'll be sending out statements this week as a reminder of what you have left to pay.
And don't forget about Chipotle night on Wed!
What's in this newsletter?
Here's what I have for you all this week:

AND a word from Mr. Sayre...
Hello Eagle Band Community!
I hope you had a restful weekend and enjoyed the balloons! I was able to fly out and see the Pacific Northwest and enjoy some weather that is pretty rare for Albuquerque, constant light rain. We have a bunch of stuff coming up in the next 2 weeks so hold on tight and enjoy the ride!
APS Marching Performance Assessment is on Wednesday. It will follow basically the same schedule as a game. Call time is 3:45pm pizza will be provided after school by the booster organization. Mr Sayre will be taking the band truck to the stadium at 2:30 so anything that needs to go on the truck needs to be loaded in the morning. Here is the itinerary for Wednesday evening.
Band Across the Rio (Rio Rancho Invitational) is on Saturday. Call time for rehearsal is at 10:00am. We will load any cases for instruments that are transported on the truck at 9:15am at the band room so students can bring their instruments to the field. Here is the itinerary for the day.
