Weekly Newsletter - NOVEMBER 26, 2023

I hope everyone was able to get some rest and relaxation this past week.

I want to thank everyone that purchased luminarias during our sale.  We ended up doing pretty well.  Build day details are below, and I will be contacting all those that purchased luminarias very soon to let them know how to pick them up.  Also, if you have any boxes laying around, or know a way to get a bunch of boxes, if you could please save them and bring them by on build day, that would be great!

Here is what I have for you this week...

What's in this newsletter?

Here's what I have for you all this week:

This week in band...

Wednesday 11/29

Thursday 11/30

Now on to the details...

Luminaria Build Day

Now that our sale is over, it is time to think about build day.

Build day will be the morning of December 9th, at 9 AM.  We will need most students help that morning to build luminarias - lettering points are available to those that help.

We also need everyone to start saving boxes of all sizes for us to pack luminarias in.  Boxes can be dropped off that morning as well.

Delivery of luminarias will take place starting @ 10:30 till about noon.  Emails will be sent to all those that order luminarias letting them know these details.

Student Accounts

A quick reminder to please make sure you are staying on top of your band fees.  Over 85% of our costs come during marching season, and we rely on those fees being paid as quickly as possible to stay in a good financial position for the rest of the year.

Booster Holiday Party

We'll be having our annual booster holiday party on Saturday, December 9 from 6-11PM.  Our booster social chair and spring trip planner, JP Bowdoin, has graciously offered to host this event again, and we are so thankful for his hospitality.  So please, leave the kids at home, and come and enjoy some holiday cheer with your board, volunteers, and other boosters as a huge thank you for all your hard work toward this band program.

All the details, including a link to RSVP, are in this invitation.  Please RSVP soon so we can properly plan for food.

Volunteer Opportunities

No current volunteer opportunities available.

Have a great week!

AND a word from Mr. Sayre...

Hello Eagle Band Community!

We hope you had a great break.  You have worked hard and it's nice to get a break and see the ones you love and reflect on what you are thankful for.  We are working up to our next concerts on December 5th (Jazz) and December 7th (Concert Bands).  Uniforms will be distributed this week during zero/1st period and after school.

Here is the plan for the week.

GO EAGLES!
