Jazz Festival Saturday Concert
In case you are not familiar, we usually wrap up Jazz Festival with a Saturday evening concert. For this year’s concert, we are featuring UNM Jazz I with guest artist Delbert Anderson, and Albuquerque Jazz Orchestra with guest artist Diego Rivera. For all the details about the concert, including prices, advance purchase, and artist bios, go to the Saturday Concert Jazz Festival page.
Il Vicino Restaurant Night
Monday, Feb 12 is our next restaurant night, and its going to be at Il Vicino. They are providing 20% of the sales between 11 AM and 9 PM that day. This has been a very good event for us in the past, so please go enjoy some delicious food and support a local busines and your band program at the same time. For all the details and the flyer to bring in, go to the Restaurant Nights page.
Student Accounts
We are down to just 4 1/2 weeks away from the 3/6/24 deadline to have ALL fees paid. Please make sure you are staying on top of your student accounts. Statements went out this past week, so please let us know if you have any questions.
A couple of reminders regarding accounts and fees:
The majority of the performance fees we charge are expensed during marching season, so the booster program fronts those costs but allows you to pay them over time as a convenience.
If you are attending spring trip, ALL fees - spring trip fees, performance fees, direct charges (uniforms, all-state fees, etc.) - must be paid by March 6, 2024 to remain eligible.
Any unpaid balances at the end of the school year do rollover to the next year.

AND a word from Mr. Sayre...
Hello Eagle Band Community!
We have a busy few weeks coming up! February is one of our busiest months in the band program as we run the Albuquerque/UNM Jazz Festival, prepare for MPA, and register incoming students for 9th grade. We have a lot to do this month so if it feels like it's a lot of work that is a perfectly natural feeling because there is a lot of work for this month.
Here is what we have coming up this week:
8th grade night: call time is 5:00 on Monday night. Wear your band shirt. We will play as students enter and for some of the starting announcements in the gymnasium. After playing, the students manning the table will stay and everyone else is free to go.
Games on Wednesday and Saturday: we have 2 games this week. If you need someone to cover for you then be sure to let the directors know who you have made arrangements with.
Jazz Fest shift sign ups: are on the board in the front of the room. There still a few spots available.
Here is the plan for the week!
GO EAGLES!
